FAQ

Can I bid as a private individual or do I need a VAT number?

You can register both as a private individual (without VAT number) and professionally (with VAT number) to participate in our auctions. Registration is easy via this link:

Having trouble registering online? Send us your details by email and we'll help you with the registration.

What costs are added to my bid?

The following costs are added to each bid amount:

  • 16% auction fee (commission)
  • 21% VAT

Are you a company within the EU and registering with a valid VAT number? Then VAT does not apply to your purchases (except for Belgian companies).

How does payment work?

When you place the highest bid and win the lot, you will receive a pro forma invoice from us.

We ask you to pay the amount within 24 hours by bank transfer.

After receiving your payment, you will receive the final invoice along with instructions for collecting your lot.

Can I pick up my lot on a different day?

Yes, that's possible.

If you cannot collect your lot on the scheduled collection day, you may collect it free of charge within 10 days afterwards, by appointment.

Please send an email to [email protected] to make an appointment.

After this period, we charge a storage fee of €10 per day per lot, starting from the 11th day.

I have a complaint or problem after purchase. What can I do?

Do you have a complaint or problem after your purchase?

Your report will be forwarded to our after-sales service. They will review your case together with the responsible person and the supplier.

You will receive an update from us as soon as there is clarity about a possible solution. Please note that this may take several working days.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

What's the difference between a standard bid and a proxy bid?

  • A standard bid is a one-time, fixed bid that you enter manually.
  • With a proxy bid, you enter your maximum bid in advance. The system will then automatically bid for you, just above the highest bid of others, until your maximum is reached.

A proxy bid is useful when bidding on multiple lots simultaneously or when you cannot be present when the auction closes.

Can I cancel a bid?

No, it is not possible to cancel a placed bid. Bids are processed directly in our internal system and cannot be reversed.

How does the auction work?

To bid on a lot, you must first register. After successful registration, you can immediately participate in the auctions.

  • The person with the highest bid at closing wins the lot.
  • Bids are exclusive of 16% auction costs and exclusive of 21% VAT.
  • After winning a lot, you will receive a pro forma invoice. This must be paid within 24 hours by bank transfer.
  • Once payment is received, we will send you the final invoice with instructions for collection or transport.

Professional customers with a valid VAT number outside Belgium do not need to pay VAT. Customers can register from all over Europe and beyond.

Bidding from outside the EU – how does VAT work?

  • Private buyers do pay VAT. After exporting the lot outside the EU, you can provide us with the EU exit proof. After verification, we will refund the VAT to your account.

Bidding on multiple lots or no time to bid live? Use a proxy bid.

With a proxy bid, you can enter your maximum bid in advance. The system will automatically bid for you until that amount is reached. Ideal if you can't follow live or want to bid on multiple lots simultaneously.

How do I make an appointment for collection?

We ask you to respect the scheduled collection day.

Can't collect the goods on this day? Then you can still collect the lot free of charge within 10 days after the collection day, by appointment.

Email us with your invoice number and desired date, and we will schedule a collection time: [email protected].

Can I have goods delivered?

Yes, we can arrange delivery within the entire EU, for a fee.

After your purchase and payment, you can email your final invoice and delivery address to [email protected].

We will then provide you with a non-binding transport quote.

Can goods be sent by post?

Only goods that fit on a Euro pallet AND are collected in 2030 Antwerp can be sent via DHL.

For lots at other locations, shipping by post is unfortunately not possible.
